I came into ham radio and weather via broadcast radio. I was 18 when I started as a board operator and DJ. Later I became Chief Engineer of WKHX-FM WDWD and WYAY for over 10 years. I am currently a contract engineer for Radio Disney Atlanta AM 590 WDWD. My full time job is operating a small farm growng hay and vegetables for local sales with my wife and father
I have am a Ham Radio operator with an Icom 756 and a 520 foot delta loop. I enjoy the 17 meter band, making long distance contacts and contesting. I want to go on a DXpedition one day. In the picture I am about 1400 foot above ground on the FOX Tower near Gainesville, GA.
